Board term: 2025 - 2028

Chris Camp joined the board in 2025. Prior to retiring in 2023 from a nearly 40-year career in public accounting and moving to Traverse City, Chris served as a volunteer and board member of a homeless shelter in Wheaton, Ill. At that shelter he also served as a member of the finance committee, helping oversee its annual budget of more than $10 million.

Chris has long been dedicated to caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and helping them obtain independent housing. He wanted to continue this service with Safe Harbor once he moved to Traverse City. 

A member of Faith Reformed Church, Chris enjoys fly-fishing trips with his friends, boating, hiking, camping, and renovating old houses. He has been married for 39 years and is the father of two sons.
