Safe Harbor Kitchen Supervisor
Position Summary: Responsible for the day to day administration of the Safe Harbor kitchen, meal program and oversight of kitchen volunteers, assisted by the Kitchen Committee. Have a commitment to helping those people in our community who are experiencing homelessness.
Qualifications: Position to start mid-October
Have a current ServSafe certificate or willing to obtain certification
Experience working with volunteers helpful
Maintain good working relationships with church volunteers and staff
Be available for a 10 hour per week flexible schedule
Be on call to answer meal-related questions
Writing kitchen procedures and creating a training manual
Training and supervising volunteers
Purchasing food staples and maintain kitchen supplies
Oversee inventory of food supplies and equipment
Oversee kitchen cleanliness and maintain Health Dept and safety standards
Communicate regularly with Facilities Manager, Board and other key workers
Maintain records for Board reporting as needed.
