Board term: 2021 - 2024

Rich Duell is a lifelong Traverse City resident and a very active community volunteer, with ties to TC Ducks Unlimited and the National Cherry Festival. He has been the New Hope Safe Harbor Coordinator for many years, starting when the shelter was still moving from church to church. 

Rich has worked in the shipping/receiving department at TranTek Automation as well as the US Post Office, and he hopes to put his operations skills to good use on the board. “I enjoy helping the homeless,” says Rick. “I have been involved with Safe Harbor for many years and I thought I could help on the board and hopefully make a difference.”  Rich believes the biggest challenge ahead will be finding good volunteers to support the organization and its newly forming committees.
